Yes, I like cat and dog videos on the web, the Stones and Ray Charles from the 60s, Willie, Waylon and Jerry Jeff from any era. As a journalist, anything news-related, and as a media consultant, anything newsy, new tech or build-a-great digital-businesss-related. And, oh yes, George Takei and My Prozac Moment on Facebook.
But sometimes, don’t you like to just read a good short story or book?
I just discovered the Paragraph Shorts app (website is paragraph.me), and it is already becoming a favorite spot. Click here for link to the app.
The last number I saw for total iPad-approved apps was more than a million, with almost 800,000 available. This is one in that million you should consider.
If you’re a reader – and I don’t mean a digital one but a flesh and blood one – you should check it out. It’s iPad only, and it’s free.
Here’s their mission statement from the web site:
“Stories are, and always will be, what connects us to our humanity and to each other. We will always be interested in the context – the story behind the story. And we will always be fascinated with storytellers – wanting to know who they are and where their insights came from…
“Paragraph’s mission is to help people discover, tell and experience great stories. We do this by offering innovative products and services that help authors, publishers and other organizations bring their stories to the public and by offering the public exciting new ways to discover and experience stories.”
Okay, I’m in.
